The Apple iPhone 15 lineup, rumored to come from an “insider” at a Foxconn factory, is said to have definite improvements in battery capacity. There will be benefits for all four models.

Here are the rumored sizes. An iPhone 15 has a 3,877mAh battery, an iPhone 15 Plus has 4,912mAh, an iPhone 15 Pro has 3,650mAh, and an iPhone 15 Pro Max has 4,852mAh.

Note that the iPhone 14 has a 3,279 mAh cell, the iPhone 14 Plus has a 4,323 mAh battery, the iPhone 14 Pro has a 3,200 mAh cell, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max has the same 4,323 mAh cell.

If this rumor pans out, Apple’s devices will rank very high in our battery tests if the increases are significant across the board. Apple’s in-house chips are notoriously optimized, so battery life on all of these should be excellent since this is the first iPhone to get close to 5,000 mAh.

The iPhones this year are expected to be slightly thicker than their predecessors, which makes sense if the batteries are larger.

According to Weibo, China’s Twitter equivalent, the iPhone 15 Pro’s base storage will be 256GB, double the current 128GB. The Pros will have 256GB, while the non-Pros will have 128 GB.
