In India, OPPO will launch a new smartphone. On its website, OPPO has revealed key specifications of its upcoming offering ahead of its launch next week. Amazon has also put up a microsite for the smartphone, which confirms its availability. On May 15th, OPPO will launch the F23 5G in the country.

According to OPPO’s microsite, the F23 5G is a rebranded version of the A98 5G that was unveiled earlier today in China. A center-aligned punch-hole display and a thick bottom chin are confirmed features of the smartphone. The refresh rate will be 120Hz. A pill-shaped camera module houses three sensors in two rings on the back panel. There will be a 64MP primary camera on the device.

The Oppo F23 5G will sport 6.72 inches FHD+ (2400 x 1080p) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner & HDR10 support. Oppo F23 5G comes with the same SD695 SoC coupled with 8GB LPDDRX4 RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage space.

The Oppo F23 5G will feature triple rear cameras with 108MP (f/1.8) main sensor. It is coupled with dual 2MP (f/2.4) depth plus macro sensors with LED flash. There is a 32MP (f/2.5) selfie shooter on the front.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G, 5G, and VoLTE support. It comes with Dual Band Wifi, Dual Frequency (L1 + L5) GPS, NavIC, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, a 3.5 mm audio jack with Hi-Res support, FM Radio, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1. There is also a microSD card slot on the smartphone that can be used to expand storage.

All this is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It runs on Android 13 OS based on OxygenOS 13 on top. It measures 8.3mm thick and weighs 195g.
