Nowadays, it’s nearly impossible to find a flagship smartphone that is comparatively smaller in size because smartphone screen sizes have been increasing. In spite of rumors of a foldable smartphone from Google, it appears the company will launch a smaller device.

According to Ross Young, the Google Pixel 8 will have a smaller display panel than the company’s previous flagship device.

The Pixel 8 will have a 6.16-inch display, which is smaller than the Pixel 8 Pro’s 6.7-inch display. As for the 6.16-inch panel, we expect it to be marketed and listed as a 6.2-inch panel.

Samsung will supply the display for the upcoming Pixel 8 lineup, which isn’t surprising given that company’s dominance. According to reports, panel production could begin next month, in May.

According to last year’s experience, we expect Google to showcase its Pixel 8 and 8 Pro flagship smartphones at the Google I/O conference before the official release in October.

Google I/O will not only showcase its Pixel 8 lineup, but also introduce a few hardware products such as the Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold foldable smartphone, and Pixel Tablet.
