In the global market, Redmi has launched two of its newer budget-oriented A-series smartphones. Redmi A2 and Redmi A2 Plus have been officially launched. The phone offers some decent specifications, such as a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset and a 5000mAh battery. Despite being a budget-friendly smartphone, it packs a punch and offers great value.

Design:

According to the renders, the Redmi A2 & Redmi A2+ look almost identical to the Redmi A1. There are two cameras on the back of the device with a textured plastic back design. On the front, there is a notch, along with thick bezels and a thick chin. Power and volume buttons can be found on the right, while Micro-USB and 3.5mm audio jacks can be found on the bottom. Speaker grilles can be found on the top.

The device will come in three color options –  light blue, light green, and black colour. The only additional thing is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the Redmi A2+.

Specs:

The new Redmi A2 & Redmi A2+ will sport 6.52 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, & a 20:9 aspect ratio. Redmi A2 & A2+ is powered by MediaTek Helio G36 SoC coupled with 2GB/3GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage. It also gets a microSD card slot.

 

It features an 8MP main rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The device comes with a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging support.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 13 Go Edition without any custom skin on top. The device measures 9.09 mm thick and weighs 192g.
