The Redmi Note 12 4G variant was unveiled in Europe last week by Xiaomi. This smartphone was launched in India today by the company. There are many similarities between the 4G-only Redmi Note 12 and its 5G counterpart. Their chipsets and primary cameras are the only major differences.

Redmi has launched two new phones in the Indian market, the Redmi 12C and Redmi Note 12 4G. Featuring a huge display, a big battery, the Helio G85 chipset, and a 50-megapixel dual camera system, the Redmi 12C is an enticing device for under Rs 10,000.

Redmi 12C:

The new Redmi 12C will sport 6.71 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, & a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

 

It features a 50MP main rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The device comes with a 5MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging support.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wifi, a micro USB port, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 12 OS without any custom skin on top. The device measures 8.7 mm thick and weighs 192g.

Pricing:

Redmi 12C is available in India with options including 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for Rs 8,999  and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for Rs 10,999. Graphite Grey, Ocean Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple are some of the colors available. It will be available on April 6 via Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Store, and offline retailers.

Redmi Note 12 4G:

The Redmi Note 12 sports a 6.67 inches 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED FHD+ display. It is now powered by SD685 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The new Redmi Note 12 features a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 coupled with an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide and 2MP (f/2.4) macro sensor.

There is a 13MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE, and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack with Hi-Res support, FM Radio, and Bluetooth 5.1. It runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top. The Redmi Note 12 packs a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Pricing:

The Redmi Note 12 4G with 6GB+64GB will cost 14,999/- whereas the 6GB+128GB at Rs.16,999/- in India.

The smartphone comes in Lunar Black, Frosted Ice Blue, or Sunrise Gold. ICICI Bank credit cards are discounted by Rs.1,000 for a limited time.

In addition to Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes, and leading retail stores across the country, the phone will be available for purchase from 12 PM IST on April 6.
