Nothing released the first official teaser for its upcoming Ear (2) TWS earphones, which are set to debut on March 22 at 4 pm CET. In the poster, a beetle is seen pushing a tiny piece of the buds’ case following a ladybug for the original Ear (1).

As of now, we don’t get a look at any of the new buds or their features. According to Nothing’s webpage, Ear (2) features “better sound and clarity” when compared to Ear (1).

So far, all we know about Ear (2) is that it will have a pretty similar design to its predecessor, except that the microphone placement will be slightly different. In addition to dual connectivity, personalized noise cancellation, and Advanced EQ, the upcoming buds are expected to have dual microphones.

Nothing Ear (2):

The design of the Nothing Ear (2) is similar to that of its predecessor. With minor differences in where the noise-canceling microphones are placed, it is similar to the older transparent design.

Rather than at the top of the buds, the noise-canceling microphones are located at the stem. The visible elements of the internal design have also undergone some minor changes.

The Nothing Ear (2) has a new “personalized” ANC mode that allows users to customize how much noise cancellation they want. The new ANC mode will be available alongside the existing Light and Maximum modes on Ear (1). There will also be a transparency mode, as with its predecessor.

It will also feature dual or multipoint connectivity, so you can connect the earbuds to two devices at the same time and switch between them. In Ear (1), this was absent, but in Ear (stick), it was present. The Find Earbuds feature and Advanced EQ with custom settings are not expected to be added.
