One of Vivo’s upcoming foldable phones. According to him, Vivo will launch the Vivo X Flip in the first half of 2023, a clamshell-style device that folds vertically, along with the Vivo X Fold 2. The display, primary camera, and chipset of the X Fold 2 have already been disclosed by him. A new leak has revealed the device’s battery capacity and charging capabilities.

In April, vivo launched the X Fold with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and now we hear that the vivo X Fold2 will be the world’s first foldable smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The X Fold has a 4,600mAh dual-cell battery with 66W fast charging. A larger 4,730mAh dual-cell battery with 80W charging was included with the X Fold+. According to the new leak, the X Fold 2 will have a 4,800mAh dual-cell battery (2 x 2,340mAh). Charging will be faster at 120W. The Fold 2 may offer reverse wireless charging at 10W and 50W like the X Fold and Fold+.

The first foldable phone featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is the Vivo X Fold 2. According to the tipster, the device will be thin and lightweight. It will have a 2K resolution on the foldable screen on the inside. Both the cover and foldable screens are expected to feature ultrasonic fingerprint scanners. The primary camera will be a Sony IMX866 with OIS.

DCS said today that the Vivo X Fold 2 will debut in April. Vivo X Flip powered by Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 could also be revealed alongside X Fold 2.
