With its first (mechanical) keyboard and its latest TV, OnePlus capped off its busiest event yet. Both devices will be available in India later this year.

With the Keyboard 81 Pro, OnePlus has introduced its new “co-creation platform”, which in this case pairs OnePlus and keyboard maker Keychron.

OnePlus Featuring Keyboard 81 Pro is similar to Keychron Q1 Pro. A US keyboard layout is included, and it has 81 keys. The RGB LED is built-in, and the aluminum casing is CNC-machined.

The keyboard comes with Bluetooth 5.1 as well as a USB-C port for connecting it to a computer. With the RGB at the lowest brightness level, the 4,000mAh battery should last 100 hours.

There are two types of switches – the tactile “Winter Bonfire” and the linear “Summer Breeze”. PBT plastic is used for the “Winter Bonfire” keycaps, while marble mallow is used for the “Summer Breeze” keycaps.

Hot-swappable switches can be replaced without having to desolder the keyboard. It has a laptop-style layout (no Numpad).

One of the unique features of the OnePlus Featuring Keyboard 81 Pro is the alert slider on the back, a wink at the OnePlus smartphones, and the rotary knob, which can be customized.

In April, OnePlus Featuring Keyboard 81 Pro will go on sale. The price of the device has not yet been revealed by OnePlus.
