The ROG Phone 6 series was released by ASUS last year in India and other markets. There were two phones in the ROG Phone 6 series, the ROG Phone 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Pro. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC was used in these devices. Asus launched the ROG Phone 6D series with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC. Now that the ROG Phone flagships have been launched a few months ago, the company is already working on the ROG Phone 7.

The Tech Outlook has revealed details about the ROG Phone 7 series lineup. The report also reveals the model numbers of the devices based on tips from Paras Guglani.

This time around, ASUS ROG Phone 7 will offer three smartphones. ROG Phone 7 will be at the bottom of the lineup. ROG Phone 7’s model number is AI2205_A, according to the report. ROG Phone 7 Ultimate will also be launched with model number AI2205_E.

There will also be a third ROG Phone 7D with the model number AI2205_D. The ROG Phone 7D will launch alongside the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, according to the report. For the Chinese market, these two models have the model numbers AI2205_B and AI2205_F. ROG 7 Indian variant is AI2205_C. According to the report, the ROG Phone 7 series will debut in 2023’s third quarter.

The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will power all three devices. It is reported that the ROG Phone 7 features 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Asus’ ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, on the other hand, comes with 512GB of internal storage. All three phones will come with Android 13 out of the box. The phones will also feature AMOLED displays.

It is expected that the phones will offer a refresh rate of at least 165Hz. To keep the thermals under control, the phones will also have a cooling mechanism. Asus’ ROG Phone 7 series should also come with beefy batteries. The ROG Phone 6 series comes with a 6000mAh battery and 65W fast charging support. For the ROG Phone 7 series, the same can be expected.
