Even though Poco phones are mostly rebranded  Xiaomi devices with some design changes, they are well-received in the global smartphone market. Recently launched Poco phones – Poco C50 and Poco F4 – attracted many consumers. Poco is now gearing up to launch a new mid-range smartphone, the Poco X5. There will be two variants of the Poco X5 series: the vanilla Poco X5 and the higher-end Poco X5 Pro.

It’s been a while since the brand teased the X5 series, but we finally have its official launch date today. Poco’s official Twitter account announced that the X5 and X5 Pro would launch on February 6. In an online launch event, the devices will be announced at 5:30 PM IST.

POCO X5 Pro:

 

From the leaked images, the new POCO X5 Pro is just another rebranded phone which was launched recently. Yes, the device looks exactly similar to aka Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition. On the front, we got the center punch-hole display with minimal bezels. On the back, there is a huge rectangular camera module carrying triple cameras with POCO branding beside it. It measures 7.9mm thick and weighs 181g. The device comes in three colors Black, Blue, and Yellow.

Specs:

The new POCO X5 Pro will sport 6.67 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a peak brightness of 900 nits and supports 10-bit colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

It is powered by SD778G SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space.

The POCO X5 Pro will feature a 108MP main Samsung HM2 sensor (f/1.89)  remaining two sensors are the 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensors. It features a 16MP selfie shooter. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with IR Blaster support.

The connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port, a linear motor, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The POCO X5 Pro packs a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charge support. It runs on Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top.

The POCO X5 turns out to be the rebranded Redmi Note 12 5G but with a small twist. The new POCO X5 looks exactly similar to Redmi Note 12 series launched earlier this month. It comes with a center punch-hole display and a rectangular camera module carrying triple cameras. It measures 7.89 mm thick and weighs 189g. The device will arrive in Green, Blue and Black.
