The Vivo Y01A has been officially launched in Thailand. This is a new variant of the existing Vivo Y01, which was released in March. Its new sibling comes with entry-level specifications, just like its predecessor.
In the coming days, the device should also be released in other markets. After the BIS authority certified the Y01A in June this year, India could be one of the recipients.
Vivo Y01A comes with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The device does not have a fingerprint scanner. Instead, it has a face unlock feature. The device measures 163.96 x 75.2 x 8.28mm and weighs around 178 grams.
It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset and comes with a 5,000mAh battery. A microUSB port supports 10W charging. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The device has a microSD card slot for additional storage.
The display notch houses 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back of the phone, the camera module is squarish and houses an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash. It runs Android 11 (Go edition) and FunTouch OS 11.1.
Other features include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Vivo Y01A costs THB 3,999 (Rs.9200/-) in Thailand. Sapphire Blue and Elegant Black are some of the colors available.
