Despite being the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer, Samsung’s Galaxy S-series devices remain one of its most premium offerings. The Galaxy S-series lineup hasn’t seen any major design changes in ages. We now got a new report about the Galaxy S25 series.
Apparently, the South Korean giant plans to pull an Apple on its customers by removing an important feature of a smartphone. The Galaxy S-series smartphones may come without physical buttons, according to the latest report.
The Galaxy S25 series could be the first to feature a smartphone without physical buttons in 2025, according to the report.
We will have to wait and see how the company plans to add volume rocker keys and power buttons. The phone should also be able to be forced to shut down or restart if necessary. Samsung may already have solutions to these problems if it plans to remove physical buttons.
With Apple’s Touch Bar on laptops, the Escape key was removed from the keyboard in the recent past. Eventually, the company reintroduced the physical Escape key button after a major backlash.
While HTC tried something similar, the physical buttons weren’t completely removed. It was one of the worst parts of the HTC U12+ that the buttons weren’t mechanical.
