Asus has finally unveiled the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate – Dimensity-powered counterparts to the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro. Asus designed a cooling system that’s revolutionary even by its lofty standards in order to maximize the performance of the Mediatek chipset.
Design:
The difference is that the standard variant of ROG Phone 6D doesn’t feature rear Air Triggers. The ROG Phone 6D Pro does come with rear Air Triggers. Further, the Pro comes with 12GB RAM and 18GB RAM rest of the specs remain the same.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 6D looks similar to the predecessor with a slight change in camera placement. ASUS ROG Phone 6D will look similar to its predecessor with the standard 18:9 aspect ratio display.
On the left, there is a USB Type-C port for attaching the various kind of accessories. On the right, we have got the power button with volume rockers. This time ASUS ROG Phone 6D also gets an RGB display on the back for notifications. It can be customized using an app.
Specs:
The new ASUS ROG Phone 6D & 6D Ultimate will sport 6.78 inches 144Hz refresh rate Samsung AMOLED FHD+ display. The device features HDR10+, Always On HDR support, and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. It measures 10.39 mm thick which is probably due to the larger battery size. It weighs 228g.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 6D series comes with Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ SoC coupled with 12GB/16GB/18GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. The ASUS ROG Phone 6D series will ship with triple rear cameras with LED flash aligned horizontally. This time the ASUS ROG Phone 6D series features a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5MP macro sensor with LED flash. The new ASUS ROG Phone 6D series features a 12MP selfie shooter. It comes with 4K slo-mo and 8K video recording.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 6D series comes with dual stereo speakers with dual NXP TFA9874 smart amplifiers DIRAC audio technology & Cross Talk cancellation tech. The device gets X mode to boost the performance further for heavy gaming. It also features dedicated Gaming profile customization built into the ROG UI. It comes with side-mounted Air triggers 5 with Touch support for the perfect gaming experience.
ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, unlike ROG Phone 6D, has an additional screen integrated into the back, similar to its gaming laptop counterpart. This is the ROG Vision, a smaller PMOLED display that we can’t reveal more details about just yet.
On the back of the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is a unique AeroActive Portal. Through a motorized hinge, the AeroActive Portal provides direct access to the phone’s internal cooling components. By connecting the AeroActive Cooler 6, the assembly is raised and an airway is automatically opened. Due to this, the fan dissipates heat far more efficiently, leading to unprecedented performance.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G LTE, VoLTE and 5G support, A-GPS, GLONASS, Dual Frequency GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio port, Wifi-6, Bluetooth 5.1, and in-display fingerprint scanner. The new ASUS ROG Phone 6D series will pack a 6000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. It will also have support for 5G networks and runs on Android 12 out of the box.

The ASUS ROG Phone 6D with 12GB+256GB at £799 (Rs.71,999/-). The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate with 18GB+512GB cost £1,199 (Rs.1,08,900/-) in Europe.
