Looks like we have an early update for the upcoming Galaxy A series smartphones from Samsung. After Nothing ditching the depth shooter on its Nothing Phone (1) we have another brand following the same with Samsung. Yes, the new report claims that Samsung may no longer ship the depth sensor on its upcoming Galaxy A54, Galaxy A24 & Galaxy A34.

As per the report, Samsung will totally ditch the depth sensor on the upcoming Galaxy A54, Galaxy A24 & Galaxy A34. So finally the Galaxy A54, Galaxy A24 & Galaxy A34 will now feature triple cameras instead of a quad. Do note that this change will be effective from 2023 as the Galaxy A54, Galaxy A24 & Galaxy A34 are not launching anytime this year.

Manufacturers have felt the need to pad their rears with at least one extra unit, if not two if not three – a depth sensor here, a monochrome one there, a macro cam somewhere.

Anyway, the report further reveals the camera details of the new Galaxy A54, Galaxy A24 & Galaxy A34. As per the source, the Galaxy A34 will feature a 50MP main sensor coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide & 5MP macro sensor. The Galaxy A24 features a 48MP main sensor and the same 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro sensor. Lastly, the Galaxy A54 comes with a 5MP ultra-wide which we think is wrong along with a 5MP macro sensor. There is a 50MP main sensor on the Galaxy A54.
