Looks like Sony has finally revealed the launch date for its 2022 lineup of Xperia smartphones. In the past, we saw leaks revealing the key specs and renders of the alleged Xperia 10 IV, Xperia 1 IV, etc. Now the company has revealed the launch details for the new Sony Xperia 1 IV.
As per the post, the new range of Sony Xperia smartphones i.e Sony Xperia 1 IV, Sony Xperia 10 IV, Sony Xperia 5 IV, etc will finally launch on May 11. Sadly, Sony will not launch any of the devices in India but will be launching in Japan and select markets like Europe & China.
After the success of Xperia 10 III Sony is working on a successor aka the new Xperia 10 IV. The new Xperia 10 IV reminds us of the predecessor as it looks similar to it. It features triple rear cameras aligned vertically. It comes with a plastic back with waterproof support.
The Sony Xperia 10 IV will also feature a microSD card slot along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It measures 8.4 mm thick and weighs 169g. It is rumored to come in Black, White, Mint Green, and Berry Blue colors. On the front, we still have that 19:9 aspect ratio display with thicker bezels. This time it features dual front-firing speakers.

The new Sony Xperia 10 IV will sport the 6.0 inches FHD+ OLED panel on the front. Do note that the FHD panel will even come with a 60Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ support. The new Sony Xperia 10 IV is powered by the same SD690 SoC. It is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space. It will feature triple rear cameras with LED flash.
The device will pack a 4000 mAh battery and run on Android 12 OS out of the box.
