OPPO is apparently developing a foldable phone. A Chinese insider claims the business will unveil its foldable phone in November. It is unknown whether the device will be called OPPO Fold or something else.

Like the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Huawei Mate X2, the purported OPPO Fold is said to fold inward. It has an 8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120W refresh rate. The Snapdragon 888 mobile platform will power the device.

Earlier this month, it was rumored that the OPPO Fold would include a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging. It is likely to ship with ColorOS 12, however, it is uncertain whether it will ship with Android 12 or Android 11.

OPPO’s first foldable phone will likely have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 camera on the back. Again, the number of cameras on the back shell is unknown. It may have a 32-megapixel front camera. It may have a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security.

The foldable phone’s other features are secret. OPPO is also slated to launch the Reno7 smartphone series in China next month. Reno7, Reno7 Pro, and Reno7 Pro+ are included. These devices are expected to have Dimensity 920, 1200, and Snapdragon 888 chipsets.
