One UI 3.1

The rumors are true – Samsung is moving straight to version 4.0. It’s built on Android 12; the company is recruiting beta testers.

Samsung Galaxy S21+, S21+, S21 Ultra, and S21 Ultra customers are invited to register for the beta program, which will be live soon. For now, it is only available for users in South Korea. Participants can use both SIM-free handsets and devices purchased from carriers.

It’s not known when One UI 4.0 beta will start. How long does it take to get from beta status to stable? These things are difficult to predict as it depends on the extent of problems that are identified.

One UI 3.0 was first released to the public in October. The stable update was released in mid-December. One UI 3 brought Android 11, a significant update, while the 3.1 version was smaller. Samsung’s update strategy is a reminder that certain phones will receive 3 OS and four-year security updates. Registering for the beta will allow you to get news on the progress via the Samsung Members mobile app.
