With the Indian Government announcing the GST revision at the 39th GST Council meeting on March 14, we saw a jump from 12% GST to 18% GST which many of the companies didn’t expect. With day by day falling of INR value when compared with USD which further led the brands to increase the prices.

The Government announced that the new GST revision for all mobile phones will be applicable right from April 1 i.e today. So without any stopping brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Samsung has already updated the prices on various smartphones.

POCO X2

As per the listing on Flipkart Xiaomi has hiked the price by Rs.1000/- on POCO X2 as of now. We are still not sure about other devices but we can expect it too cost above Rs.500 for below 10K devices and remaining at Rs.1000 to 2000/- increase. The company has confirmed that from today they surely gonna increase the prices on various smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S20

Samsung has also increased the prices of the recently launched Galaxy S20 & Galaxy Note 10 series which are hiked by Rs.4000/-. Lastly, Oppo has also increased the prices but it has not confirmed officially. Popular store Mahesh Telecom has shared the list of Oppo smartphone which are been hiked from Rs.500/- to Rs.2000/-.
