Nokia has finally launched the much-awaited Nokia 8.1 at a Global event in Dubai. The new Nokia 8.1 is the Global variant of the earlier launched Nokia X7. The new Nokia 8.1 will ship in Blue/Silver, Steel/Copper, Iron/Steel colors and is priced at 399 Euros (Rs.31,900/-). The Nokia 8.1 is priced at 1,499 Dirham (Rs.28,800/-) in UAE and will go on pre-orders from today. The new Nokia 8.1 will go on sale from Dec 20.
The new Nokia 8.1 looks similar to Nokia 7.1 with 6.18 inches FHD+ PureDisplay with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 having a resolution of 2246*1080p. It is built out of Aluminium chassis with 2.5D Glass back. The Nokia 8.1 weighs 180 grams and is 7.97 mm thick.
The new Nokia 8.1 is powered by SD710 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with an option to expand storage via microSD card up to 400GB. It features Carl Zeiss lens based Dual rear cameras with a primary Sony IMX363 sensor of 12MP having an aperture of f/1.8, 1.4μm pixels and secondary 13MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, OIS, and Dual Tone dual-LED flash.
Nokia 8.1 ships with 20MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and comes with Face Unlock feature. Nokia X7 comes with AI Beauty, AI Portrait, AI expression, and 6 AI studio lights. The device also features the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G and VoLTE, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port and 3.5 mm audio jack. It also comes with Nokia OZO Stereo Audio recording. All this is fueled by 3500 mAh battery along with QC 3.0 support and runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
