Sony launched the new Sony Xperia XZ2 & Xperia XZ2 Compact at MWC 2018 earlier this year which were running on Android Oreo. Now Sony has begun updating both the Sony flagships Sony Xperia XZ2 & Xperia XZ2 Compact to latest Android 9 Pie.
Sony launched the Sony Xperia XZ2 in India earlier last month and we already have the major Android update hitting the device. Anyway, with the latest Android 9 Pie update, both the Sony Xperia XZ2 & Xperia XZ2 Compact will get new features like Adaptive Battery and Adaptive brightness which uses AI to reduce power consumption.
Apart from that, all other basic Android 9 Pie features will be part of the update. The new OTA update will also bring the latest Oct 2018 security patch on both Sony Xperia XZ2 & Xperia XZ2 Compact. The Android 9 Pie update will also introduce the new Siny Camera App. The new OTA update weighs around 1GB in size and is recommended to download via Wifi.
