Samsung sister company Samsung SDI has now achieved a new milestone with innovate adhesive for the upcoming Samsung’s foldable smartphone. As per ETNews, the new innovation will make Samsung less dependable on third-party suppliers.
Earlier Samsung was about to use the American company 3M made optically clear adhesives or OCA for the foldable phone. With new innovation made by sister company will lead to use the Samsung made OCA technology for an initial lot of Samsung first foldable smartphone. The new adhesive will also reduce the cost of manufacture for the foldable display.
Due to a lack of innovation, Samsung had struggled a lot to achieve the foldable display in the past. With the new Adhesive innovation Samsung might look to commercialize it in the near future but as of now, Samsung has no such plans.
