Samsung

Samsung is now planning to introduce the new device with the in-display fingerprint sensor soon. As per the tipster MMDDJ, Samsung first in-display sensor phone will debut in China as we all know Samsung is struggling in the Chinese markets.

So probably Samsung new in-display phone will not be the Samsung Galaxy S10 instead will be a mid-range phone as Samsung Mobile CEO DJ Koh stated that they will bring some premium features to mid-range devices before launching the premium smartphones. With that statement, we can expect the first in-display phone will be a mid-ranger.

With Oppo, Vivo and Huawei already launching their devices with in-display fingerprint sensor we have to wait and watch at what price segment Samsung will launch its first device with that technology in China.

Anyway, further, the source also revealed that in coming year Samsung Galaxy J series will be replaced by Galaxy P series. Not just that, the source also mentions that the first device under the P series will be called Samsung Galaxy P1 and will be official by next month in China. There are also claims about the Galaxy P1 might be the first in-display fingerprint smartphone in China by Samsung.

With gaining popularity for the in-display fingerprint scanners we can see many brands might implement it to bring on a budget to mid-range segments next year.
