Lenovo

Earlier Microsoft and Qualcomm partnered to launch some 2 in 1 powered by latest SD850 SoC in Computex. We have now spotted the first device powered by the latest SD850 SoC with none other than Lenovo.

As per the listing on Geekbench, the new device is listed as Lenovo 81JL which is having the latest SD850 SoC clocked at 2.96 GHz. It is coupled with 8GB RAM and is running on Windows 10 Pro OS out of the box.

Lenovo 81JL

The new Lenovo 81JL with SD850 SoC managed to score 2263 under single core test which is 35% higher than the SD835 SoC. The device has got a lower multi-cores score of 6947 over the 6475 on SD835 powered Asus NovaGo TP370QL. So just a 7.3% increase in performance under multiple cores which is disappointing.

As it is still under development phase we can expect Lenovo along with Microsoft and Qualcomm will optimize the device further for better performance than the predecessor.
