Sony Xperia XZ3

After a bunch of Sony Xperia XZ3 renders leaked we finally have the device officially launched today at IFA. The new Sony Xperia XZ3 will go on sale by end of September and there are no details about the cost of the device. The Sony Xperia XZ3 will be available in Black, White, Green and Red colours.

The new Sony Xperia XZ3 comes with traditional Sony new Omnibalance design with a curved glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection along with aluminium frame. The Sony Xperia XZ3 look similar to Sony Xperia XZ2 in terms of looks and weighs around 193 grams. It is slightly slimmer when compared with predecessor at 9.9 mm thick.

The new Sony Xperia XZ3 sports 6.0 inches OLED HDR QHD+ display with a resolution of 1440 x 2880p having an aspect ratio of 18:9. It also comes with TRILUMINOS Display and X-reality engine along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 arrives with same old SD845 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 400GB via microSD card. It features Dynamic Vibration System creates a powerful haptic experience that enhances music, movies and games; letting you feel the action in your hands and bringing content to life in a completely unique way.

 

The Sony Xperia XZ3 also brings new AI features like Side-Sense which provide easy and convenient access to your favourite apps. Double tap anywhere on the display will predict and launches the apps which user want to use by placing them within easy reach, without having to scroll up or down for them. So basically Sony has made some customization for the user to use the device single-handed.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a single rear camera with 19MP using Sony Exmor RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 1.22μm pixel size, G lens, 5-Axis OIS and 4K video recording. It features 13MP selfie shooter with 1/ 3,06” Exmor RS sensor, aperture of f/2.0 and 22mm wide-angle lens.

The connectivity option includes Dual/Single SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.1 USB Type-C port, Fingerprint scanner, and no 3.5 mm audio port. The Sony Xperia XZ3 also comes with Stereo speaker with S-Force Front Surround, along with DSEE HX and LDAC support. The device is also dust and water resistant with an IP68 rating.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 becomes the first smartphone to ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box. It is fueled with 3300 mAh battery with QC 3.0 and Qi Wireless charging support.
