LG just unveiled the first bezel-less display smartphone with LG G7 ThinQ and also launched the LG V35 ThinQ last month. Now we have already started getting new rumors for the successor with LG G8 which might be launching early next year.
As per the tipster Ice Universe, the upcoming LG G8 might sport 4K LCD display and also confirmed the name LG G8 but there are no details about why LG is considering 4K display for its next smartphone.
We already have many flagships with 4K display launched in the past from Sony with Sony Xperia XZ2 Pro & Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. With the help of 4K display, one can get immersive VR experience when compared with 2K or FHD display due to more pixel counts. There are also rumors about Samsung considering to include the 4K display for the next year flagship Samsung Galaxy S10.
So we have to wait for the official announcement which will not happen anytime sooner than next year.
