This is the third time ASUS has been recognized with honours from Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies survey

ASUS today announced its honourable recognition as one of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies. The company has been ranked as a leading enterprise in the Computers category, reaffirming its leading position in the industry as a strong brand that continues to deliver excellent products and services.

Survey Methodology

Fortune collaborated with its partner Korn Ferry on this survey of corporate reputation. Beginning with a universe of about 1500 candidates, the 1000 largest US companies were ranked by revenue, along with non-US companies in Fortune’s Global 500 database that have revenues of $10 billion or more. The highest-revenue companies in each industry were then selected, totalling 680 in 29 countries. The top-rated companies were picked from that pool of 680; the executives who voted work at the companies in that group.

To determine the best-regarded companies in 52 industries, Korn Ferry asked executives, directors, and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed.

Xiaomi launches refresh variants of Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inches in China

Xiaomi has launched the refreshed version of their Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inches in China.Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inches was launched in 2016 and now the same device has been updated with latest specs.The new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inches weighs 1.3 kgs and is 14.8 mm thin.

The new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inches is now powered by the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processor.Both the i5 and i7 variants are coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD storage which can be further expanded.It is also having the AKG speakers.

The new version of Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inches features NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with up to 2GB GDDDR5 GPU.There is also fingerprint scanner in the upper right corner of the trackpad.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inches sports 1080p display with narrow bezels of 5.59 mm.The new models are also upgraded with the newer cooling system with the use of thinner metal blades which helps to control the temperature.

As per Xiaomi, the newer Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inches can last for 9.5 hours of usage on a single charge.It runs on Windows 10 OS and comes pre-installed with MS Office Home and Student 2016.

Alcatel unveiled their new lineup of smartphones with Alcatel 1X, Alcatel 3V, and Alcatel 5 at CES 2018 earlier this month.Now Alcatel has launched the affordable smartphone with Alcatel 3C in Italy.Alcatel 3C will be available in Metallic Gold, Black and Blue colours.The Alcatel 3C is priced at 129.99 Euros (Rs.10,200/-).

Alcatel 3C is completely made out of the plastic and weighs 169 grams.It is just 7.9 mm thick.Alcatel 3C sports 6-inches HD+ IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.It has 76% screen to body ratio.

Alcatel 3C is powered by MediaTek MT8321 SoC coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD cards up to 128GB.It is having an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, AF, 1.12-micron pixel size and HDR. It can record video up to 1080p @30fps.There is a 5MP FF selfie camera with LED flash and can shoot videos up to 720p @30fps.

Samsung is all set to unveil its latest flagship with Samsung Galaxy S9 & Samsung Galaxy S9+ at MWC 2018 next month.We already had got series of leaks and rumours about the device and now we have new rumours but it is not about the device instead how will Samsung promote their devices.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 & S9+ will be marketed as “Film Your Story As You Intended” as per well-known leaker Ricciolo tweet on Twitter.Samsung had already taken help with Youtubers to show the camera features to their audience and with this tagline, we can expect the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 & Samsung Galaxy S9+ will have one of the best camera smartphones in the markets.

The tagline says it all that the device can record videos without the need for further editing.So as of now, we are not sure about this and as per earlier leaks, Samsung Galaxy S9 & Samsung Galaxy S9+ will feature 12MP cameras with an aperture of f/1.5 under low lighting and will automatically shift to f/2.4 under good lighting condition.

Mi 6X back panel leaked, comes with iPhone X like camera setup

Xiaomi is on roll with series of leaks of the upcoming Mi Max 3 and Mi 7 now we have the third device with Xiaomi Mi 6X. The Mi 6X is the successor to the last year launched Mi 5X in China or Mi A1 Globally.

Now we have the live images of the Mi 6X rear panel leaked online.As per leaked images, the Mi 6X is now having iPhone X like Dual camera setup which is aligned vertically with LED flash hole in between.

There is another hole which sits middle of the device which is smaller in size so it can’t be a fingerprint scanner and we are not sure what is that.Apart from that the Mi 6X still has the antenna bands running on top and bottom of the device similar to its predecessor.

As per rumours, the Mi 6X will come with a bigger battery and bigger display.So we have to wait longer as Xiaomi Mi 6X will not launch earlier than Aug 2018.

Xiaomi Mi 7 new renders emerges online with thinner bezels.

Xiaomi upcoming flagship Xiaomi Mi 7 is all set to launch at the MWC 2018 Berlin next month and with just a month left for the official announcement we are flooded with series of renders leaked.Earlier we had got the renders which showed the rear view of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7.

Now, we have got new renders which show both the sides of the device.As per renders, we can see the new Xiaomi Mi 7 sporting a bezel-less display at the front with nearly no bezel at the chin portion of the device.At the back, we can find the dual cameras arranged horizontally with Dual tone Dual LED flash beside it and fingerprint scanner below it.

Above the display, there are thick bezels, where we can find the selfie camera and sensors.Xiaomi CEO has already confirmed that they are going to launch the Xiaomi Mi 7 with SD845 SoC.

LG making foldable smartphone,patents leaked.

After Samsung, LG is all set to enter the foldable smartphone race.LG has now filed a patent for a foldable smartphone on WIPO.As per leaked documents, there are two different designs for the alleged foldable smartphone.

The first design the with rectangular chassis which fits the bezel-less screen that can be folded vertically.It also has another display at the back which displays relevant info and will also act as a primary display. The other design is completely different when compared to the first design.The second design comes with the display on both front and back but when folded the front display will be in use whereas the rear display will be turned off. The second design also comes with the secondary display at the rear.

The LG new foldable smartphone features OLED display sandwiched between two folding rear panels which carry the battery, camera and other parts.So with ZTE launching its first foldable smartphone with ZTE Axon M, we can expect many foldable smartphones in the near future.

Nokia is working on penta-lens camera on smartphone.

Nokia had impressed in the past with their 41MP Nokia PureView 808 and also Nokia 1020 which had set benchmarks under camera segment. Now we have some new rumours which claim that Nokia is working on a new smartphone which will feature not one or two but the five-lens camera.

Probably Nokia upcoming smartphone will work similar to Nokia OZO camera which had 8 lens camera and round body but as this is smartphone it has been lowered down to 5 camera lens so that it fits on the smartphone.

As per source, Nokia aka HMD Global and Foxconn are busy working on the smartphone. Nokia has already made the Penta-lens camera smartphone and it is in the testing phase. If Foxconn gets the solution of mass-producing the smartphone we can expect the device hitting the markets by late 2018.

The new Penta-lens camera will look like the shower head and will have 7 holes with 5 holes will be occupied by the camera lens and remaining two holes for the LED flash.As of now, there are no details about the camera sensor and specs of the device.We have to wait for few more weeks for some more leaks.
