Google upcoming big Android update the Android P has already made its first Preview build earlier this month. Now developers have found a new info about the recently launched Android P developer update.
Developers tried installing older Android apps on a smartphone running on Android P Developer Preview update and strangely found a popup message mentioning “This app was built for an older version of Android and may not work properly. Try checking for updates, or contact the developer.”
The current API 17 version is set on Android P which is Android Jelly Bean or Android 4.2. As it is just a developer preview and not the final version we are still unsure about whether the final version of Android P will ever run older Android apps which are made for Android 4.1 and below.
Apple has also started cleaning older version apps from App store recently and if anyone installs the app from the iCloud backup user will get a warning or the app will not run at all.So is Google following Apple footsteps and disabling older Android Apps? We have to wait for final version of Android P for the answer.
