Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite in India, and fresh leaks have revealed key details about their chipsets and core hardware.

The Vivo V70 Elite is tipped to be the first phone in the V-series to use a Snapdragon 8‑series chipset, specifically the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It is expected to feature LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, an ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, and a 4D vibration system for improved gaming haptics. Multiple reports suggest it could be a rebranded or slightly modified version of the Vivo S50, which launched in China in December 2025 with a 6.59‑inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED LTPO display, a 50MP selfie camera, a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging, and IP68/IP69 protection.

The regular Vivo V70 is said to run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, previously seen in the Vivo V60. It is also expected to come with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and an ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, though most of its remaining specifications are still under wraps.

According to the latest leak, the Vivo V70 series India launch is likely to take place by mid‑February, with an expected price range of Rs 45,000 to Rs 55,000 (roughly $500–$610). This would place the lineup in the upper‑mid‑range segment, competing with other Snapdragon 7- and 8-series-powered smartphones.
