Samsung has launched the beta testing phase for One UI 8.5, introducing a host of advanced capabilities crafted to improve efficiency, security, and overall user experience. Among the standout features, Photo Assist now lets users generate an unlimited number of images, with the added benefits of ongoing edits and accessible edit histories.

With the latest enhancement to Quick Share, Samsung introduces facial recognition to make photo sharing more intuitive and intelligent, so your device can recommend sharing images with people who appear in them. Additionally, Samsung’s device-bridging features have been upgraded: Audio Broadcast and Storage Share both gain powerful new functionality.

Audio Broadcast now leverages Auracast technology to stream audio to nearby Bluetooth LE Audio devices. This feature even supports real-time voice broadcasting using your phone’s mic—a perfect tool for events or guided activities.

The updated Storage Share empowers users to browse files from other Galaxy devices—including tablets, TVs, and PCs—directly through the My Files app, bringing seamless multi-device file management.

To address device security, Samsung is reinforcing protection with heightened Theft Protection and an enhanced Failed Authentication Lock for greater peace of mind.

Initially, the One UI 8.5 beta is open to Galaxy S25 series owners in select regions, namely Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Interested participants must register via the Samsung Members application to gain early access.
