Oppo recently introduced the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, but the series isn’t complete just yet—there’s another variant on the horizon: the Find X9 Ultra. This upcoming handset is set to be the brand’s photography powerhouse, and buzz around the device’s camera setup is already growing.

Fresh leaks from China suggest that the Find X9 Ultra will feature a whopping 200MP primary lens equipped with the Sony IMX09E sensor. Alongside it, the phone is said to come with a periscope telephoto camera—sporting 3x optical zoom—using Sony’s IMX09A. More camera versatility is expected with an ultrawide lens and an additional periscope telephoto for even stronger zoom, though details about the latter are being kept under wraps.

It’s still uncertain if Oppo will reuse the impressive 50MP, 6x optical zoom camera from the Find X8 Ultra or opt for an entirely new sensor for the highest zoom level. The Find X9 Ultra is anticipated to break cover in April, a year after its predecessor’s arrival.

Meanwhile, the Find X9s will cater to users who prefer a compact flagship. Following the Find X8S, this device is rumoured to run MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500+ processor and feature a 6.3-inch display. It will also include an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint reader and an impressive 7,000 mAh battery. Current expectations point to a March debut for the Find X9s.

The Find X9 family continues to grow, catering to both photography enthusiasts and fans of smaller, high-end smartphones, as Oppo positions itself firmly in the premium segment this spring.
