Earlier this week, a rumour from China claimed Xiaomi would unveil the 17 Ultra in December. It would be two months earlier than its predecessor, which arrived in February.
An X tipster has today narrowed down the launch date of the 17 Ultra even further, pegging it for the fourth week of December. Based on our calendar, that’s the week that starts on December 22 and ends on December 28.
Several Chinese brands launched earlier this year than in 2024, including Xiaomi with the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, so this isn’t really that surprising. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra may be launched internationally, but when it does remains to be seen.
Just days after its unveiling in China, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was unveiled for global markets at MWC in Barcelona in February. Probably not, but will we have to wait until February for its international launch? We’ll have to wait and see. As soon as we learn more, we’ll let you know.
