In the past, the top-of-the-line Ultra from vivo’s X series flagship phones was only available in China. However, we now have significant proof that the yet-to-be-announced vivo X300 Ultra will be available outside of China this year.

Since the X300 Ultra has surfaced with a model name that deviates from Vivo’s standard naming strategy for Chinese handsets, the GSMA database suggests that Vivo may be preparing to release an international version of the device. V2562 is the model name in question. Since there was no Ultra variant available, users who had to settle for the standard and Pro versions of the Vivo X phones are happy to hear this.

Fortunately, Vivo chose the perfect moment to introduce its Ultra model to the world market, as current speculation suggests it will be a true camera powerhouse. It’s rumoured to be the first phone with two 200MP sensors, and its primary and telephoto cameras will probably feature Sony’s latest 200MP sensors.
