Recent reports say that the Vivo X300 series of flagship phones could be officially announced in September of this year. Digital Chat Station, a reliable source of information, released what seems like the main specs of a handset that is thought to be the Vivo X300 Pro Mini well before the official announcement.
According to the leak, the Vivo X300 Pro Mini is rumoured to feature a 6.3-inch flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen. It is also believed that the phone will have ultra-narrow bezels thanks to LIPO display packaging technology.
The Dimensity 9500 chipset, MediaTek’s next top SoC, is reportedly powering the gadget from the inside. Reports indicate that the chip is expected to be released in September.
The leak also states that the X300 Pro Mini’s rear camera will utilise a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. This module is believed to have a precision optical focus prism, which may improve the stability of the zoom and the accuracy of the focus.
DCS also mentioned in June that this new device would have a 7,000mAh battery, which would be better than the 5,700mAh battery in the X200 Pro Mini. The tipster said in today’s disclosure that the device will be able to charge wirelessly. It should also be very waterproof, which means it can have an IP68/69 classification.
Finally, there is considerable ambiguity over the device’s ultimate name. According to some rumors, Vivo may offer it simply as the X300, even though its size implies it may launch as the X300 Pro Mini.
