Nothing has finally launched its much-delayed flagship, the Nothing Phone (3), globally, including in India. The new Nothing Phone (3) finally ditches the Glyph Interface for the new Glyph Matrix. Furthermore, the device also features some significant design changes compared to its predecessor.

Nothing Phone (3):

The new Nothing Phone (3) will sport a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both the front and back. The Nothing Phone (3) is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, featuring 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.

The new Nothing Phone (3) will feature a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, both of which are equipped with an LED flash. This time we also got a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Under the punch-hole notch, a 50MP selfie shooter is located. It packs a 5150 mAh battery with 65W fast charge support. It also features 15W wireless charging support and a 5W reverse charging capability.

The Nothing Phone (3) will run on Android 15 OS with Nothing OS 3.5 on top.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wi-Fi, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Glyph Matrix:

Design Milk’s Christian de Looper claims that the Glyph Matrix replaces a dense cluster of micro-LEDs in the upper-right corner of the phone’s back with the larger segmented light strips found in earlier models. This more compact yet adaptable LED array makes possible pixel-level animations, symbolic visuals, and reactive lighting that synchronises with sounds and user interactions.

  • Increased Programmability: Unlike segmented strips, the micro-LED matrix allows dynamic animations and intricate visuals.
  • Space Efficiency: The smaller lighting system allows for a more efficient hardware design.
  • Unique Identity: The small, round LED cluster gives a powerful, instantly identifiable appearance.
  • Personalised Interaction: By combining personality and functionality, lighting effects can be linked to various apps and alerts, allowing for a more personalised experience.

Pricing:

Nothing Phone (3) with 12GB/256GB costs $799 (Rs.68,500/-) and 16GB/512GB at $899 (Rs.76,900/-) in the US. In India, the new Nothing Phone (3) costs Rs.79,999/- for 12GB/256GB and Rs.89,999/- for 16GB/512GB. The effective prices, after discounts, are Rs 62,999 and Rs 72,999, respectively.
