Nothing is working on new over-ear headphones. As you can see in the video embedded below, the company has officially confirmed the move. Nothing recently announced a partnership with KEF for future audio products, including some that will arrive as soon as this year. Thus, we assume the headphones will do the same.
When SGS Fimko certified the headphones with model number B170 and identified them as “wireless headphones,” Nothing was first rumoured to develop its own headphones in February.
Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, shared a few concept images of possible headphones back in October of 2022, and it seems the company has decided to pursue this idea.
Nothing headphones will have a unique design “that says something about you” when you wear them. The designers don’t like the look of any current headphones. Nothing’s headphones will also have very distinct buttons, so you won’t have any trouble identifying them while wearing them.
There is no guarantee that the headphones will be among the best-sounding on the market, especially at this price point. Despite the cheaper price, nothing says you won’t be disappointed if you go from a pair of AirPods Max to these.
Nothing headphones are scheduled for release this summer, when the flagship Nothing Phone (3) should also be revealed, so we wouldn’t be surprised if they debuted simultaneously.
