The battery technology in two upcoming Chinese compact smartphones is ahead of the curve. Xiaomi 16 and Vivo X200 FE are expected to have massive battery packs. The Xiaomi 16 is getting a new compact flagship rival in the Vivo X300 Pro Mini, while the X200 FE has already been spotted in recent leaks.
According to known tipster Yogesh Brar, details regarding the Vivo X200 FE, Xiaomi 16, and Vivo X300 Pro Mini have emerged. According to Brar’s recent tweet, the Vivo X200 FE will pack a sizeable 6,500mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 16 has an even larger 6,800mAh battery.
The tweet also contained information about the new Vivo X300 Pro Mini. The Vivo X300 lineup is rumored to include the X300, X300 Pro Mini, X300 Pro, and X300 Ultra. Based on the tweet, the Vivo X300 Pro Mini is “in between” the Xiaomi 16 and Vivo X200 FE regarding battery capacity, which is 6,500mAh and 6,800mAh, respectively.
The Vivo X200 FE is expected to debut in the first half of this year, so it should arrive by July. Essentially, it will be a rebranded Vivo S30 Pro Mini. The Xiaomi 16 is expected to launch in H2 2025. It is possible that the next gen flagship will also debut in October 2024, like the Xiaomi 15.
