After a months-long delay, Samsung is now rolling out One UI 7 based on Android 15 to its devices. Hopefully, One UI 8 will arrive in a more timely manner, based on Android 16.
By then, Samsung’s built-in Internet browser will support AI summarisation of any online video. As it is currently being tested, this has been discovered.
By implementing it, Samsung’s browser will automatically summarise any video you find online. In contrast, with the Galaxy S25 series, the AI magic will take place entirely on-device, driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
You can test this right now by entering internet://debug in the Samsung Internet address bar, pressing Go, then tapping the three-line menu button in the bottom right corner, going to Debug settings > Single module tests > AI Summarize Settings and tapping Enable Video Summarize.
You probably shouldn’t try this, but if you do, keep in mind that the feature’s effectiveness is currently unclear, as it’s only intended for testing purposes. The rollout of One UI 8 is expected to be fully available to all users shortly.
