Now that the Google Pixel Watch 4 is out, it has a few improvements, but none of them are in terms of appearance. Though it has a better display, more performance, and a longer battery life than its predecessor, the new Pixel Watch looks precisely the same. Additionally, Google unveiled the Pixel Buds 2a, a pair of inexpensive TWS buds positioned beneath the Pixel Buds Pro 2 currently on the market.

Pixel Watch 4:

Like previously, the watch is available in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm, with 1.2″ and 1.4″ displays. Both screens have been improved to reach 3,000 nits, which is comparable to other 2025 smartwatches, such as the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 series. This will make it easier to read outside.

The Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset is also upgraded by the pair with the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 Plus variant. On paper, the change might seem minor; however, the newer SoC has an AON (always-on) co-processor. When the main SoC is sleeping, this built-in, low-power 22nm processor handles necessary tasks. Energy is conserved in this way.

The 41mm and 45mm models have improved 327 mAh (+20 mAh) and 459 mAh (+39 mAh) batteries, respectively. Google anticipates that the 41mm will last 30 hours between charges with the upgraded batteries, and the 45mm will have 40 hours of battery life with AOD.

The Pixel Watch 4 series features a redesigned docking station that allows “side charging” for charging. It must be placed on its side to function as an alarm on your desk. Above all, however, charging is now 25% quicker.

You can talk to Gemini by just raising your wrist thanks to the Pixel Watch 4’s notable “Gemini-ready” feature. Gemini will answer your questions and is also heavily integrated into several of your watch’s apps. Features for monitoring health and sports include ECG, SpO2, breathing rate, HRV, and tracking for more than 40 different forms of exercise.

While the Sport band is available in Indigo, Limoncello, and Iris, the Active band is available in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Moonstone.

Interestingly, this year’s Active band is somewhat more comfy because it’s composed of a different material.

Pricing:

The 41mm Wi-Fi model of the Pixel Watch 4 costs Rs 39,900 in India, while the 45mm model costs Rs 43,900. The availability date is set for October 2025.

Pixel Buds 2a:

A more affordable option to the currently available Pixel Buds Pro 2 are the new Pixel Buds 2a. However, they appear to have several high-end capabilities that will make you reconsider choosing the full-featured Pixel Buds Pro 2.

Since the first Pixel Buds A series were released almost four years ago, the Pixel Buds 2a represent a significant upgrade over their predecessors. The low-cost pair does not have the passive Silent Seal 2.0 noise isolation of the Pixel Buds Pro 2, but it does have active noise cancellation.

The buds also offer spatial audio, but they don’t have head-tracking. The charging case increases the playback length to 20 hours; however, the battery is sufficient for 7 hours. Wireless charging is not supported by the Buds 2a’s casing, in contrast to the Buds Pro 2.

The buds cost €149 in Europe and $129 in the US, and they are available in grey and iris hues. Available in Hazel and Iris, the Google Pixel Buds 2a are priced at Rs. 12,999 in India.
