Micromax has now partnered with BSNL for its latest offering with Micromax Bharat 1 feature phone which is a competitor to JioPhone launched by Reliance Jio earlier this year.The Micromax Bharat 1 phone is priced at Rs.2200/- and comes with a new plan of Rs.97 which gives unlimited calls, SMS, free roaming and data for one month whereas the JioPhone one has to do a recharge of min Rs.153 for the same plan.The Micromax Bharat 1 phone will go on sale starting from Oct 20 in all retails outlets across India.The Micromax Bharat 1 is not SIM-locked and can be used with any SIM.Micromax is calling it has Desh ka 4Gfone.

The Micromax Bharat 1 is having similar candy bar style design which we have seen on all feature phones earlier and is completely made out of plastic.It sports a 2.4 inches QVGA display with a resolution of  320*240 pixels.It is powered by Qualcomm made SD205 chip coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB onboard storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

It has a 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP selfie camera.The connectivity option includes Dual-SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support with 2G/3G support, Wifi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and micro USB port.All this is fueled with 2000 mAh user replaceable battery.The special features include Micromax TV app with a wide range of TV channels you can watch is Live TV, Videos, Music, Movies and also has support for 22 Indian regional languages.

So Reliance JioPhone is now in danger with this latest entrant from Micromax which is free to use any SIM even the Jio SIM on the phone so would you buy the Micromax Bharat 1 instead of JioPhone? Do leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
