Last week, the European versions of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 trio visited the FCC, and the details confirmed that each would have wireless charging – but didn’t specify what type. According to Jukanlosreve, Ice Universe has reportedly revealed that the S25 models will support Qi2 charging.
It doesn’t say much on its own, however. There are two Qi2 profiles – Extended Power Profile (15W, no magnets) and Magnetic Power Profile (still 15W, but with magnets for alignment and attachment). HMD Skyline is the first Android phone with Qi2 MPP.
Oppo also has a series of “Oppo Mag” accessories that use magnets, but they’re primarily cases with embedded magnets. There are no magnets on the phones themselves. Additionally, the OnePlus 13 supports Mag accessories with a special case that does not support Qi2. The “MagVOOC” standard is used instead.
Now let’s see what Samsung has planned for the Galaxy S25 series. Is there something with magnetic cases or will magnets be skipped altogether with Qi2 MPP compatibility?

According to a new rumor out of China, many Chinese smartphone makers will soon launch devices with batteries of 6,000 mAh and larger. Despite going to 7,050 mAh, Red Magic will face some (more) competition next year.
OnePlus and Redmi phones are rumoured to come with 7,000 mAh batteries in 2025. Due to this, and the increasing efficiency of mobile chipsets, battery life in 2025 shouldn’t be a problem for even the most demanding users.
The 6,000+ mAh cells this year didn’t come with a penalty in terms of phone thickness; it’s been a long time coming. We assume the same will be true next year due to the new silicon technology. Because of the improvement in longevity, we’ll see marginal increases in thickness.
Neither Redmi nor OnePlus has specified which devices will reach 7,000 mAh on the mAh scale, but we assume the Redmi K90 series and the OnePlus 14 are the top contenders.

With the Galaxy S25 launch about a month away, you might already be making upgrade plans, especially considering what you’ve heard about the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
The first phones with Elite chips are here, and they offer great performance and huge battery life. The Galaxy S25 series, particularly the Ultra, is showing a lot of promise.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, however, won’t be cheap. The Galaxy S25 series will be getting a price hike, especially the Ultra, I have bad news from Korea. Samsung could increase prices next year based on two main factors, according to the first price rumors.
Economic and geopolitical factors have pressured the South Korean Won this year. As a result of the martial law, there is uncertainty regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol’s impeachment, pushing the WON/USD exchange rate to more than 1,430. Over the past year, the won has declined 8.5% against the dollar.
As a result, companies that import components face higher business costs since more Won fetch fewer dollars. It has already been reported that Qualcomm has raised the price of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for the Galaxy S25.
With all Galaxy S25 models likely to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, market watchers predict that prices may increase by 150,000 won (Rs.8900/-) in South Korea. Also, if the currency depreciates against the dollar substantially in other markets, the company may have to make similar increases.

Users can adjust the volume of specific sounds in a video using the audio eraser feature in One UI 7. It can reduce or remove background noise such as wind, traffic, and other distractions while maintaining the clarity of voices. It will enhance the overall user experience without requiring external software.
Several exciting new features are included in One UI 7 Beta, focusing particularly on AI-driven features that enhance user productivity.
