CyberMedia Research today released their latest research survey findings from the CMR Retail Sentiment Index 2018. The CMR Retail Sentiment Index 2018 captures the perspectives of traditional multi-brand smartphone retailers through a nationwide retailer survey across ten major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Guwahati, among others.

The importance of Offline Channels has been underlined in recent times, with many online-only brands also opting to build their offline presence for further growth. When it comes to Offline, the key differentiation point for a smartphone brand is the level of engagement and trust that it empowers its channel partners with.

Prabhu Ram, Head- Industry Intelligence Group (IIG) at CMR said, “The success of a smartphone brand in a volatile and competitive market like India is determined predominantly by the trust with channel partners. What our survey illustrates is that Offline has to be a strategic long-term move, and not merely a kneejerk tactical one. When brands plan and invest in their channel partners, it pays off for them.”

As per the CMR Survey findings, the three key parameters of most importance for channel partners, includes sell-out schemes, timely payout, and transparency in dealings.

Satya Mohanty, Head- User Research Practice at CMR added, “Despite the stiff competition from Chinese mobile handset brands, Lava has held its ground in offline retail channels, scoring exceptionally well, alongside Samsung. Our survey findings affirm that Lava has been ranked first by retailers on trustworthiness as well as timely payouts.”

“Brands such as Samsung and Lava have consistently focused on Offline as a key priority for them, with a long-term strategy, centered around trust, timely payouts and transparency in dealings,” added Satya.

Alleged Xiaomi Redmi S2 passes through the Chinese 3C certification.

Earlier there were rumors about Xiaomi planning to launch another budget smartphone called the Xiaomi Redmi S2 in India and China. We also spotted the device on TENAA listing which also shows us the exact look of the device.Today, we have spotted the alleged Xiaomi Redmi S2 on the 3C listing.

As per the listing, the Xiaomi Redmi S2 has just passed through the Chinese certification aka 3C certification in China.The new Xiaomi Redmi S2 will have similar Redmi Note 5 Pro like the design as per TENAA.

The 3C listing doesn’t reveal much about the device apart from the serial number.The new Xiaomi Redmi S2 is rumored to be powered by SD625 SoC coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM with a 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage option.

It will sport 5.99 inches 18:9 aspect ratio HD+ display with a resolution of 1440*720p.It will feature dual rear cameras with one of the sensors is 12MP one and 16MP selfie shooter.All this is fueled by 3000 mAh battery and will come in multiple color options.

Moto Z3 Play official renders leaked, will feature side-mounted fingerprint scanner

Motorola recently updated their mid-range and budget lineup with Moto G6 series and Moto E5 series, now we are getting new leaks for the upcoming Z-series with Moto Z3 Play. Earlier we have got many cases renders showing the new Moto Z3 Play and finally, we have official renders of the device leaked online.

As per Android Headlines, they have got the official render of the Moto Z3 Play from a reliable source and we just have a single image leaked which show both the front as well as the rear of the device.As per leaked render, we can see the Moto Z3 Play too feature a new bezel-less display with an aspect ratio 18:9 similar to Moto G6 series and no longer we have the physical home button which is replaced by on-screen navigation buttons.

Above the display, we have the selfie shooter, earpiece, and sensor whereas on the back, we have the traditional Moto styled circular camera module which carries Dual cameras aligned horizontally with LED flash below it.Below the camera, we have the Moto dimple and at the bottom of the device, we have the traditional Moto Mod connector pin.

On the right, we have the volume rockers and large power button which also doubles up as a fingerprint scanner and on the bottom of the device there is just USB Type-C port and probably will not have 3.5 mm audio jack.

The Moto Z3 Play will come with a 12MP+8MP dual camera on the back.As per earlier leaks, the device will be powered by SD363 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with the option to expand the storage via microSD card slot.It will feature 5MP selfie shooter and will be fueled by 3000 mAh battery.

Samsung upcoming mid-range smartphone the Samsung Galaxy A6+ all set to launch soon with series of renders leaks we have now spotted the device on NCC certification in Taiwan.

As per the listing, the device comes with model number Samsung SM-A605G/DS which is none other than the much awaited Samsung Galaxy A6+ and DS stands for the Dual SIM variant.As per NCC, the Samsung Galaxy A6+ will support Dual-band Wifi with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and will also support popular LTE bands.

Apart from this, we also got the live images leaked by NCC. As per the pictures, we can see the Samsung Galaxy A6+ looks similar to previous leaks, with bezel-less display at the front with thicker top and bottom bezels. Above the display, we have the selfie camera with LED flash and earpiece.

On the rear, we can see the Dual cameras aligned vertically with LED flash beside it and fingerprint scanner below the camera similar to Samsung Galaxy S9.The device is completely made out of metal and comes with antenna bands covering the top and bottom of the device back.

Xiaomi Mi 6X officially launched in China powered by SD660 SoC.

After series of renders and video leaks, we finally have the Xiaomi Mi 6X officially launched in China.The Xiaomi Mi 6X will come in 4GB+64GB variant which is priced at 1599 Yuan (Rs.17,000/-), 6GB+64GB is priced at 1799 Yuan (Rs.19,000/-) and 6GB+128GB at 1999 Yuan (Rs.21,200/-).The device will be available in multiple color option with Black, Blue, Red, Gold and Rose Gold colors.The Mi 6X will go on sale starting from April 27 in China.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X look similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro in terms of design with slight change in placement of antenna bands which are hidden on top and bottom of the device.It is completely built out of metal and weighs 168 grams. It is just 7.3 mm thick.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X sports a 5.99 inches FHD+ display covered with 2.5D curved glass on top.It is powered by SD660 SoC built on 14nm process coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM with a 64GB/128GB storage option.

LG recently sent media invites for their upcoming big flagship with LG G7 ThinQ which is all set to make debut officially on May 2. After series of renders leaks, we finally have spotted the device in Geekbench listing.

As per the listing, the LG G7 ThinQ is listed as LGE LM-G710 and is powered by the SD845 SoC coupled with just 4GB RAM.The device is running on Android 8.0 out of the box.The alleged LG G7 ThinQ scored 2312 under single core test and 8979 under multi-cores test which is as expected with any device having such specs.

Apart from that, we have got some details about the screen featured on the upcoming LG G7 ThinQ.LG just announced their latest LCD display tech with the SuperBright display.According to LG, the new Super Bright Display will reduce the bottom bezels by 50%.

The same display might be used on the upcoming LG G7 ThinQ.
